Our One Evolve strategy is built on four connected pillars: Operations, People, Evolve RegenDairy and Governance.
Through this strategy, we’re working to drive lower emissions, back farmer wellbeing, push talent development, and strengthen the communities and supply chains that power us.

We focus on reducing emissions, optimising energy and water use, and minimising waste across all operations. By advancing circularity and resource efficiency, we aim to protect ecosystems and deliver climate-positive outcomes for a sustainable future.
People
People power everything we do. Our strategy supports farmer wellbeing, employee safety, and skills for the future through training, inclusive practices, and strong support networks. By investing in people across our value chain, we help individuals thrive and build a resilient dairy sector.
Strong communities underpin a strong dairy industry. We champion responsible sourcing, nutrition, education, and transparency, while working closely with local partners and supporting employee volunteering. Through innovation and engagement, we aim to create lasting, positive impact where we live and work.
Governance
Our Governance framework ensures our ESG commitments are built into everyday decisions across the business.
A central sustainability team sets the direction, defining the frameworks, reporting and performance measures that guide our environmental, social and economic priorities. Oversight rests with senior leadership, the CEO and the Board, ensuring sustainability is embedded in our strategy and long-term value creation.
Evolve RegenDairy
Our Regenerative Agriculture Programme supports farmers to improve soil health, water quality, biodiversity, animal welfare, and livelihoods through verified sustainable actions, incentives, and education – building resilient farms, reducing environmental impact, and strengthening the future of dairy in the southwest of Ireland.
OUR GOALS
We continue to develop and deliver sustainable nutrition across our portfolio, helping customers and consumers make better choices through products designed for long-term health, performance and impact.
We aim to reduce general waste & food waste by 15% across our operations, keeping valuable resources in use and out of landfill.
We aim to achieve a 55% reduction in Scope 1 & 2 emissions, accelerating our transition to a lower-carbon dairy system.
We aim to improve water use efficiency by 15%, reducing water intensity across our operations while protecting a critical shared resource.
We aim to ensure 100% of our key raw materials are sustainably sourced, strengthening supply chains and raising standards from farm to finished product.
We continue to deepen community wellbeing through inclusive partnerships, local engagement and initiatives designed to deliver lasting social impact.
We aim to plant at least 300,000 trees and hedgerows, supporting biodiversity, enhancing habitats and strengthening the landscapes our dairy depends on.
Core achievements &
certifications
100% of our milk suppliers are certified under the Bord Bia Sustainable Dairy Assurance Scheme, covering animal health, feed traceability and environmental stewardship. We’ve maintained full certification since 2017 without exception.
Kinisla is the first and only dairy processor globally to achieve Stage 5 verification under the SDP framework. It recognises exceptional leadership in sustainable dairy farming, robust data transparency, and continuous improvement across environmental, social and economic performance.
Gold membership is the highest level of recognition for sustainability performance. This award reflects strong progress and transparent reporting of verified actions across the full value chain, from farm to processing.
As a Sedex member, with all sites SMETA audited, we benefit from enhanced visibility of labour, safety, environmental and ethical performance, reduced audit duplication, stronger supply chain transparency, and improved risk management across our operations.
Grass Fed Verified means our suppliers’ cows derive 90%+ of their diet from grass and graze extensively, independently audited through Bord Bia’s SDAS programme.
Our Evolve RegenDairy programme accelerates the adoption of regenerative practices across milk supplier farms. Farmers are financially rewarded for verified, science-based actions across five pillars. Through Evolve, we financially reward farmers for implementing science-based actions across four pillars.
As an EcoVadis certified member, we gain independent assessment of our environmental, social, and ethical performance, strengthening supply chain transparency and credibility. This supports responsible procurement, improves ESG maturity, and aligns us with global sustainability expectations.
We only use palm oil certified by the Roundtable on Sustainable Palm Oil, supporting responsible sourcing that protects forests, biodiversity and communities.
